DebutAlbum

Over the summer Vox Medicea, in collaboration with our instrumental partners the English Cornett & Sackbut Ensemble, recorded its first album, to be released on the acclaimed Arcana label.

Bringing together a sublime collection of rare and unknown choral works from the 13th to the 17th century Medici Granducato.

This unique debut album celebrates the spectacular Florentine choral tradition, including works likely unheard for centuries, as well as a specially commissioned world premiere from celebrated American composer Nico Muhly, based on a historic Florentine work.
